Premiere at the Texprocess – a new 3D body scanner from Avalution

Creating an individual body scan in the changing cubicle – a scan that becomes the basis for customized clothing or a digital fitting session – this is Avalution’s vision for the store of the future. The company will be presenting its newly developed 3D body scanner at the Assyst Texprocess booth (Hall 4.0, C21).

The new “AVAone” 3D body scanner from Avalution will be showcased for the first time at Assyst’s booth in the “Distribution” area (Hall 4.0, C21). “We’ve created a store scenario from the future to show how new technologies can help customers find the right product a lot faster,” explains Michael Stöhr, Managing Director of Avalution. “Our new 3D body scanner creates a realistic digital image of the customer within seconds and visitors to our booth will see it all happening up close. The digital image can then be used for size determination, for the manufacture of made-to-measure clothing, or to adapt individualized clothing.”

The 3D body scanner developed by Avalution is based on stereoscopy and measures with 12 depth sensors. In just a few seconds, an image of the person is created, from which 50 body measurements can be taken. The scanner needs about as much space as a changing cubicle in the store.
