Shhh... that’s classified!

Today we ‘spied’ on the members of our body scan evaluation team. They analyze the scans acquired by our colleagues in the USA for the Size NorthAmerica serial measurement survey.

So how do we get the scans? First of all, our colleagues in the USA set up permanently-installed body scanners in precisely-defined locations such as universities. Our mobile scanner truck also travels across the USA time and again, acquiring scans in various regions. To ensure that the scan data is truly representative, we determined in advance where we were going to scan, how many men, women and children we would need, how many scans we would require from what age groups, etc. We also took ethnic backgrounds into account.

Our colleagues in Kaiserslautern ensure that every single scan is checked and classified – and that gives us our highly-accurate analysis results for the American market.
